A New Chapter for The Cyber Safety Guy (and My Mental Health Journey)
As many of you know, The Cyber Safety Guy blog has always been about more than just online safety. In addition to tips for navigating the digital world, I've shared my own experiences with mental health, hoping to raise awareness and encourage open conversations.
But I've realised that combining these two important topics might not be the best approach. Whilst they're both close to my heart, I understand that some of you are here purely for cyber safety advice. You might not be interested in my mental health journey, and I respect that.
That's why I'm excited to announce a change! Since moving to Substack, which allows me to create separate publications. This means:
The Cyber Safety Guy blog will continue here, focused solely on online safety, privacy, and digital well-being. You'll get the same great content you've come to expect, without anything else mixed in.
My mental health posts will have a new home: Barking Mad: My Journey to Recovery. I have created a separate Substack publication dedicated to mental health awareness, where I'll continue to share my experiences and insights. This will also be the new home for Virtual Pet Therapy Posts each Friday. This way, those interested can follow along, while those who prefer to stick to cyber safety can do so without distraction.
This change allows me to:
Provide more focused content: You'll get exactly what you signed up for, whether it's cyber safety tips or mental health reflections.
Reach the right audience: Those interested in both topics can subscribe to both publications!
Continue the conversation: I believe in the power of open communication, and this allows me to continue sharing my mental health journey with those who find it helpful.
I'm incredibly grateful for your support over the years. I hope you'll join me in my Mental Health publication. Head over to Barking Mad: My Journey to Recovery and remember to hit the subscribe button there!
Thank you for being part of this journey.
Stay safe online (and offline!),
The Cyber Safety Guy
